Ever wonder why a piece of crap is rated so highly these days? Here's my simple explanation...target demographics.

For example, I hear about video game parodies on the front page that suck balls according to most popular artists. Well, thats because most of these people sharing there opinions aren't raging video game fans, like most of you out there(I was one once). So, those not interested are probably not going to watch it and the target demographic(video game fans) are, hence they are highly rated, top 50, ect. The score goes down, once it is off the front page and the ratio of video game fans/non-video game fans evens out.

Now the score of something is mainly based on how well it does in its main focus. For instance, Brakenwood movies are mainly focusing on art and animation, and Awesome films are mainly focusing on humor. Since they both do very well at showing the aspect of the movie they're focusing on, they both get high scores. Now, some movies I've seen try to focus on the art and animation of a movie, but they don't get very highly rated, due to the artists lack of art skill.

I hope someone actually reads this.
